| William H. Harbeck, a cinematographer from Toledo, Ohio, boarded Titanic in Southampton as a second class passenger. Although many believe that he had been hired by the the White Star Line to film Titanic’s maiden voyage, it has never been proven – he perished in the sinking, and any images he may have captured aboard Titanic were lost with the ship. Harbeck’s body was recovered by the Mackay-Bennett (#35) and returned to Toledo for burial in the family plot. | ||
